In 1994, we established the Special Needs Resident Fund. This fund helps to cover expenses for many of the medical, orthopedic, recreational, and social needs of our residents. We have purchased medical goods and services that are not always covered by public assistance. We also use some of the funds to help residents stay involved in the community. We go on weekly outings, which may include restaurants, ice cream trips, or other social activities. We have an annual dinner & a show trip, and we enjoy a mini summer vacation. In 2017, we used this fund to purchase a used Chrysler Town & Country Mini-Van that transports our residents to medical appointments, field trips, and community events. It’s all about providing a good life for our residents. We use the fund to enhance their quality of life by providing goods, services, and opportunities that make life more interesting, more meaningful, and more rewarding.
