Be the change you seek! Join Muzzy Rosenblatt, ’87, CEO of BRC – a nationally recognized nonprofit providing caring and effective housing and services to homeless and vulnerable New Yorkers – for a conversation about working in the nonprofit sector, homelessness, innovation and how you can make an immediate impact on the lives of people in need. After waiting tables for a year after his Wes commencement, Muzzy went to work in city government (serving 3 mayors over 11 years) before leaving for a leadership role in the nonprofit sector. He has been at the helm of BRC for 18 years, during which time BRC has been a winner of the NY Nonprofit Excellence Award, and a national finalist for the Drucker Prize; last year he was named one of the NonProfit Times Power and Influence Top 50 in the US. Muzzy will answer questions about the challenges and opportunities of a career in the government and nonprofit sectors, how he still wakes up every morning inspired, and how and why a Wes alum is a great fit for BRC.
