Background
The Samburu Project is a non-profit based in Los Angeles, California. As a grassroots 501(c)(3) organization, our mission is to provide access to clean, safe drinking water as a foundation for development. Since our inception in 2005, The Samburu Project has drilled 100 wells, bringing safe water to over 100,000 people. With access to water, we have watched women create self-sustaining gardens and income generating businesses. In our well communities we have seen education for girls triple, witnessed water borne disease be eradicated, run hygiene and sanitation workshops, provided mosquito nets and more.
