This class will offer a strong theater jazz class that culminates in a mock audition-type of experience. The mock audition will be a positive experience and will NOT include any sort of "cutting" process. The idea is to offer tips and tricks that will guide dancers through the audition process.

Josh Zacher is an American dancer, choreographer, actor, and singer. Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana where he was valedictorian of Canterbury High School, Josh is a recent graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in New York City where he received a BFA in Drama with Honors. A loyal Hoosier, but a strong Michigan Wolverine supporter, Josh is a graduate of both the Summer Dance Institute at the University of Michigan and Broadway Dance Center’s Summer Professional Semester where he had his choreography featured in the BDC SPS Showcase at Symphony Space. Josh has choreographed music videos for recording artist Nic Hanson and is the founder of “Shall We Dance Call”; through the NYU Tisch Department of Drama’s Career Development office. Nationally, Josh served as the associate choreographer for YA4Ever’s production of Spring Awakening at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, California, a guest artist at Score! - a creative musical workshop for young theater artists at the Embassy Theater in Fort Wayne, IN, and has worked as a guest teacher and choreographer for various high schools and dance companies across the country. In New York City, Josh has choreographed for and performed with various dance and theater companies including ALMA NYC, Inside Broadway, American Creative Dance, Dancers Choreographers Alliance, Concrete Theater Temple, and NYU’s Pulse Dance Project. He has also performed in Times Square, Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Josh is a teaching/audition assistant at Ballet Tech in Manhattan and currently works for Broadway choreographer Josh Prince at Broadway Dance Lab. Josh is incredibly grateful for the many amazing people and opportunities in his life.
