Steve will be pouring:
“Springtime in Paris”
2016 Franck Besson Rosé Granit Sparkling
Charming rose petal hue. Aromas of fresh strawberry and raspberry. Refine bubbly that add to the refreshing character of the wine. The rounded and slightly sweet first taste is perfectly balance by a dry finish. A delightful persistence with bright and appealing fruit.
2016 Frank Besson “Chardonnerets” Beaujolais Blanc
Born of the Chardonnay grape, the “white pearl” of Beaujolais wines, as it is called, gives off subtle aromas of white blossom that harmoniously intermingle with gentle citrus fragrances and generous fruit. This Beaujolais Blanc sits 6-7 months on the lees, is fermented in all stainless steel and undergoes a second fermentation, malolactic.
2016 Domaine Dupré Régnié Haute Ronze Vieilles Vignes
Régnié, Beaujolais, France
La Ronze is a little hill located in the Cru Regnie, the prince of Beaujolais as it is the latest appellation born in 1988. According to recent analysis of soils made in the region, Regnie has the most presence of granite in its underground. A lot of fruit due to the Gamay varietal and a nice minerality from the terroir. Try it with summer salads, sea food and fishes, pasta, cheese or even grilled white or red meat.
2015 Chateau De Villeneuve Saumur-Champigny Cabernet Franc
100% Cabernet Franc
Loire Valley, France
Entirely handpicked in the morning, brought to the winery on the estate where it is sorted, destemmed and delivered to tank with gravity. No Saignée. Fermented in stainless steel with native yeast and punched down once per day. After it is finished fermenting, 40% is kept in stainless steel, 30% is moved to new oak and 30% to second use French oak barrels. A vibrant Cabernet Franc with bright varietal notes, bursting with ripe fruit and acidity.
N/V Lombard 1er Cru Champagne
40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Meunier, 20% Pinot Noir
A portion of this blend comes from the estate owned vineyards. The Chardonnay is from the Premiers Crus Villages Grauves and Vertus of the Cote des Blancs, bringing to the wine a freshness and balance of minerality. The Pinot Noir comes from the Montagne de Reims. A very low dosage of 4 g/l preserves the natural balance and acidity of this cuvee. Bright, light and sharp with perfumed notes of citrus and yellow plums called mirabelles Excellent as an aperitif, or paired with oysters and seafood.
2016 Domaine de la Verpaille Mâcon Village
Sourced entirely from a single plot of 100 year old vines grown on a limestone/clay soil. Grapes are harvested at the optimum time in order to ensure concentration of flavour as well as a fine aromatic expression. Natural yeasts undertake a long, slow fermentation in order to allow maximum expression of the terroir. Maturation for 12 months in tank on the fine lees brings added richness and ageing ability. A fine, classic Macon Villages bouquet with aromatic tones of pear, white flowers and a touch of exotic fruits. Gentle, creamy and yet perfectly balanced with a telling cut of fresh acidity and a trace of minerality. Alive, pure and seamless.
2012 Chateau de la Croix Medoc
