Greasy Creek General Store is hosting a stained glass class on Saturday, May 12th, for anyone who is interested in learning about the basics of stained glass. Catherine Ratliff will be walking students through the steps of how to cut the glass, foil it, fit it together, solder it, and polish it up for a finished stained glass project.
The class will be taking place on Saturday, May 12th, beginning at 9:00am and lasting until about 3:00pm. We will supply the materials and tools, and you’ll get to take home the project of your choice that you make that day.
We will be taking 4 people at a time for this event, which allows plenty of one-on-one time with each student.
The cost is $40 per person. Signup is on a first-come-first-serve basis, with payment securing your spot.
Please note: Because this class works with cut glass and hot soldering irons, you must be at least 16 years old to take this class.
We also discourage bringing small children as we don’t want anyone to get cut or burned by accident.
We will be hosting more classes in the future, so if you are not able to participate on the 12th, be sure to stay tuned for future classes that we will announce on our Facebook page.
