Local small business owners can receive free, basic training on understanding and managing their finances in a workshop presented by the UTRGV Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

The “What’s Behind the Numbers? Use the Financial Statements to Measure Your Business Success!” workshop on April 24, scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, discusses the meaning and importance of the Financial Statements to measure business performance and as decision-making tools for business management and growth planning.

The training - hosted by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce and partly sponsored by the BBVA Foundation – is presented by a UTRGV SBDC certified business advisors.

UTRGV SBDC Director Maria Juarez-Serna encourages small business owners to sharpen their financial management skills through this valuable training: “It’s critical that business owners have a solid grasp of their financial health for long-term sustainability. Some of the most important business decisions that business owners will make are ultimately expressed in financial documents. We encourage local business owners to participate and pick up valuable information for the success of their businesses.”
