Join us for our bimonthly lunch meeting! As always, lunch will be provided. Thanks to our April lunch sponsor, Jagoe Homes!
Featured speaker: Dr. Nick Brake, Superintendent of Owensboro Public Schools, will be speaking to us on young professionals in the community and their importance to Owensboro. You won't want to miss this!
April’s Lunch Box organization will be CASA of Ohio Valley.
CASA is currently in need of donations of toiletries.
The Lunch Box: Chamber Young Professionals provides the opportunity for members to give back at each lunch meeting through The Lunch Box program. CYP members can take a role in supporting a featured non-profit by bringing an item from the organization’s needs list. While donating an item is not required, we would love to see support from our CYP members for our local non-profit community!
What is CASA of Ohio Valley?: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is Kentucky State Statute Mandated and a unique service to the innocent child victims of abuse and neglect. CASA Advocates are necessary in an overburdened juvenile court system to help ensure that innocent children are placed in safe, appropriate homes. Volunteers get to know the child by talking with everyone in that child's life: parents and relatives, foster parents, teachers, medical professionals, attorneys, social workers and others. They use the information they gather to inform judges and others of what the child needs and what will be the best permanent home for them.
