Did you know? Fully electric cars do not require oil changes, transmissions or exhaust systems and the average EV driver can save hundreds of dollars per year on maintenance. Electric motors are much more durable than gas engines and only have one moving part. This means far less breaks down or goes wrong. If this surprised you, you'll likely learn a lot from this event!

Interested in learning more about electric vehicles (EVs)? Want the scoop on what it's really like to own one? Come to our workshop - hear from a speaker with first-hand experience and check out a few different EV models.

The first hour will feature a presentation on the myths and realities of owning an EV by Stephen Bieda, Founder and President of the Golden Horseshoe Electric Vehicle Association. Stephen will also be talking about research on the future of mobility and transportation.

The second hour will allow attendees to mix and mingle, and check out the different EVs there. Green Venture's 2018 Chevrolet Volt will be on site, along with Stephen's 2018 Kia Soul EV. More models are in the works, so stay tuned!

Light refreshments will be served. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Erinn at erinn.todd@greenventure.ca or 905-540-8787 ext. 115.

Please note that EcoHouse is not a fully accessible building.

This is a paid workshop, but Green Venture is committed to bringing environmental education to as many people as possible. If this fee is a barrier to your attendance, please contact Erinn at erinn.todd@greenventure.ca.
