The Near Death Experience

Hovering over one’s body, encountering deceased loved ones, life review, traveling through a tunnel toward an all-loving light — these and other common elements of the near-death experience will be examined through accounts collected by the speaker during 42 years in the field of medical social work.

Kimberly Clark Sharp, MSW, LiCSW, known for her wit and warmth, is author of the book “After the Light“, worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, co-taught death and dying at the UW School of Medicine, pioneered social work in Critical Care at Harborview Medical Center and founded the Department of Social Work at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.
