The Griffin-Spalding Historical Society is pleased to announce the formation of the Southside Genealogical Society. The organizational meeting for this group will be held on Saturday, April 21st, at the Bailey-Tebault House at 633 Meriwether Street in Griffin. Professional genealogists Susan Sloan and Nathan Mathews will begin the day with a program entitled "Get a Bigger Hammer: Breakling Down Walls in Genealogical Research." Following the program, the inaugural meeting for the Southside Genealogical Society will be held to discuss the format and meeting schedule for this group.
The class is free to members of the Griffin-Spalding Historical Society and is $10 for non-members.
