The oldest German technology yet discovered in Ireland is a 9th-century blade from the renowned German sword maker, Ulfberht. With a pommel and hilt covered in hand-beaten Scandinavian silver, the sword was a prized possession of an Irish Chieftain who acquired it from the Vikings in Dublin, and it is known as the Ballinderry Sword.
Grimm Brothers Brewhouse and Laughing Leprechaun Meadery have collaborated again to bring you a refreshing session Braggot, a melding of beer and mead, to herald the arrival of Spring. Brewed with the finest malts and hops, we added a heaping helping of sun-kissed clover honey and blackberries to create a beverage the likes of which are hard to find in these times.
Come out for a tapping of the first keg of Ballinderry Sword sold outside of the Grimm taproom.
