Come on out to Grooves Records on March 24th at 2pm to see a free in-store performance by Farewell Stanleys.
With Beatles' melodies and harmonies reminiscent of The Eagles and CSNY, Farewell Stanleys craft songs that make the soul want to sing along to with one arm around a lifelong friend, and the other holding a scotch. Fusing the songwriting and voices of lifelong friends Jeremy Montag and Mark Milanovic, their music respects the musical traditions of the past, while also having a fresh, folk-rock sound that has a post-generation X originality. Inspired by the songwriting teams of Lennon-McCartney, Henley-Frey, and John-Taupin, their songs exhibit the power of human connection, collaboration, and good songwriting.
With their debut album "Good Company," the Stanleys put together a collection of 10 songs that pulled and pried at one another and left you in a distant place then when you first pushed "play." With the release of their sophomore album "New Love," the Stanleys have up’d the ante with stronger hooks and harmonies and are further embarking on sharing their stories and songs with the world. Friends creating, recording, and performing music together for the pure, simple joy of it and sharing it with anyone that wants to sing along.
Grooves is an all-ages, wheelchair accessible space.
