Kick off National Park Week by celebrating National Junior Ranger Day at Hampton National Historic Site!

Have you ever wanted to walk in a Park Ranger's footsteps? Are you interested in learning more about the cultural and natural resources at Hampton and how to preserve them for the enjoyment of future generations? Join us for the 'Ranger 101' program and become a steward of your national parks! Kids of all ages are welcome to join a ranger for a walk around the grounds of Hampton and explore the site's history. Junior Rangers will learn to identify and protect the cultural and natural resources that make the park so special and will also have a chance to wear signature pieces of a Park Ranger uniform! At the end of the program kids will receive their very own Junior Ranger badge and be sworn in as honorary protectors of Hampton NHS and other national parks!

The program will begin at the Visitor Contact Station and is open to kids and adults of all ages. All events and materials are free on a first come, first serve basis. Registration is not required. Please call 410-823-1309 or visit our website for more information. We hope to see you there!
