This course involves making a patchwork quilt using a sewing machine.
In the first session, you will plan your design out on a grid and start making your half square triangle blocks. Depending on how quickly you sew, you may start to assemble the quilt top. Please note: due to the amount of sewing involved, you will NOT leave with a completed quilt.
Further sessions to continue working on the quilt will be scheduled for the May and Summer holidays.
All materials and equipment will be provided.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks and homemade cake are included.
A light lunch will also be provided.
Length of course:
Skill level: Intermediate
For this workshop, you MUST be able to use a sewing machine with a reasonable level of skill. On that basis, you should have either completed an “introduction to sewing machines” session, or have used a sewing machine yourself to undertake simple tasks like joining two pieces of fabric. If you have not done this, this course will not be suitable.
