The Women’s Fund of the Richland County Foundation will host a series of lectures to highlight interesting women in Richland County.
The first in the series will feature Linda D. Haring, a boutique dog breeder. She will speak Thursday, April 26 at the Haring Welcome Center, 130 North Main Street, Mansfield. The doors will open at 5 p.m. for light refreshments and the talk will begin at 5:30. Parking is available on the street or behind the Haring Welcome Center in the Brickyard.
Haring has been breeding Glendale Terriers, since 1980. She will share puppy tails about her experiences breeding and showing Norwich and Norfolk terriers. Her dogs have been crowned champions in many shows including the Westminster Kennel Club. She will bring along three four-legged honored guests and allow time for questions.
The Women’s Fund of the Richland County Foundation has awarded over $359,000 in grants which includes almost $51,000 in scholarships to 30 women who are non-traditional undergraduate students at area colleges. The endowed fund was created in 1996 to promote philanthropy among women and to provide funding to programs to empower women and girls.
