It seems the more we find out about the chemicals in our homes and cleaning products, the more we realize they are neither safe for us nor good for the environment. The average woman is exposed to over 300 chemicals a day and the ingredients in almost all the most popular products are known to be either carcinogenic, hormone disrupting, toxic to the body, bad for the environment or all four. More "environmentally friendly" products might break down better once they go down the drain, but they are not necessarily any less toxic to humans and are usually more expensive.

So, what is a health and environment conscious person to do? Make your own! Not only are home made cleaning products chemical free, in most cases they are a fraction of the price of regular, chemical laden, cleaning agents! The other neat thing is that you don't need anywhere near as many types of products to do the same job. They take up less space, are generally quick and easy to make and you don't need to worry about the kids helping out with getting the job done, they can even help you make them!

In this class we will make a Simple Clean Everything Scrub, a delicious room spray and Dishwasher Detergent! You will go home with the recipe, the experience to repeat the recipe and some to try while you get together the ingredients to make your next batch.

This is a great way to begin, or continue, your journey towards a chemical free home!

All supplies + materials will be provided. We'll also enjoy a complimentary light refreshment.
