Aloha Dear Friends.

After a long hiatus, we are happy to invite you to a special gathering being held Saturday, April 7, 2018 starting at 5:00pm.

As you may know this past November PREF co-sponsored a showing of “Walk With Me – A Journey Into Mindfulness,” a documentary exploring the spirit and life of the Buddhist community founded by Thich Nhat Hanh. The film was presented at the Makalapua Theatre to a sold-out audience.

Several days later. Michael Donenberg, an ordained brother in Teacher Hanh’s Order of Interbeing, led a reading/discussion/meditation experience at Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden (HQCG).

On Saturday, April 7th Michael will host an “Evening of Peace” at HQCG. The evening will consist of a period of meditation (with instruction), the sharing in silence of a pot-luck dinner, and then a repeat showing of “Walk With Me.”

Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden is located at 75-1048 Henry Street in Kailua Kona.

The schedule for the evening is as follows: 5:00pm – Meditation with Instruction

5:30pm - Silent pot-luck dinner

6:00pm – Film

7:45pm – Questions/Answers

For the pot-luck dinner, please bring a vegetarian dish to share.

There is no charge. Donations are welcome.

As we would like to have an idea of the number of participants, an RSVP would be most appreciated.

Also, there is a follow-up event the following morning. At 10:00am on Sunday, April 8, Michael will be speaking at the New Thought Center, 81-6587 Mamalahoa Hwy. in Kealakekua. (www.newthoughtcenterofhawaii.com).

He will speak on the topic “Meeting Your True Self.”

This gathering will end at 11:30am.

All are invited!

To both events!
