KIRTAN is an ancient form of DEVOTIONAL SINGING together in a circle, to help us reconnect with the DIVINITY that resides within us all. The MANTRAS and songs we sing contain powerful renewing and transformative energy that allows us to REST in our HEARTS, in pure PRESENCE as our thoughts drift away from the mind and we SING and DANCE in prayer and gratidude. As we express our DEVOTION through singing, our voices all MERGE TOGETHER as ONE VOICE and the INFINITE is INVOKED, invited and made manifest in our hearts.

"By singing together we give strength, safety and passion to each other, and give ourselves permission to sing and dance freely, releasing and expressing through our voices and bodies, the emotions tightly locked in our hearts. The pain of separation is one with the bliss of union." -Jai Uttal

“Kirtan is a means of finding our way back to the core of our Being, to our heart, and to our connection with each other.” -Ragan
