Building Connections: Caregivers

This class is for loved ones/caregivers of those living with behavioral health challenges. We work with parents of children of all ages.

We will focus on 3 main areas of learning in a 12 week series:

1. Connection & Boundaries
2. Education
3. Nutrition

Our Connection & Boundaries segments will include the work of the Mind Sight Institute, the leading practitioners and researchers in Interpersonal Neurobiology and others. We will use the literature in 'Brainstorm' and 'No Drama Discipline' to coach you through practical solutions to everyday challenges. We will explore boundaries in relationships that support healing and growth. We will coach and guide families through the ‘loving pushes’ needed to support our families in creating the healthy interdependence needed to thrive.

**You will learn that according to current and progressive parenting principles, discipline does not mean punishment, rather we focus our thinking to: DISCIPLINE = TEACHING!

Our education portion will teach you how to navigate the school districts and advocate for your children's needs at school.

Our nutrition section will explore cutting edge innovation in theory and in validated research regarding mental health and nutritional support. This knowledge can arm you with the tools you need to reduce behavioral symptoms and assist with managing common gut related irritation and inflammation.
