The Trager Approach is the life’s work of Dr. Milton Trager, M.D. It is a paradigm shift from working exclusively on areas of a client’s body that produce specific symptoms, to additionally working with the tone of their central nervous system as an integrated whole. It not only localizes focus on specific pains and restrictions, but also addresses clients’ histories, their beliefs about their body, and a shift in their attitudes toward an actively involved healing process with the therapist.

Mentastics - the practitioner teaches you simple sequences of movements, which you can later do at home. Called Mentastics (short for mental gymnastics), these movements are designed to reduce tension and increase physical mobility. Unlike most exercises, which are done to improve strength or endurance, the goal of Mentastics is to achieve a relaxed state of being.
