Please join me for a heart-opening Cacao Ceremony where we will drink pure Cacao from Guatemala, do breath work, meditate, journey with sound and open our hearts to more love, for ourselves and others. Together we will create a space to connect with our inner self, to listen and hear what our heart wants to tell us.
The ceremony takes place Saturday April 21 from 14-18 at Herðubreið (bíósalur), Austurvegur 4 and is 5700 kr. There is limited space so please purchase your ticket in advance here, https://tix.is/is/event/5824. Please bring your own yoga mat (something to sit and lie on), blanket, pillow and water bottle. If you have any questions please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Good advice before ceremony:
-Eat a light meal before and ideally a couple of hours before. You can also fast.
-You are advised to not drink coffee the same day of ceremony
-Alcohol and Cacao do not mix and you are advised to not drink alcohol the night before
-Wear comfortable clothing and make sure you will be warm
-Let me know if you take anti-depressants or heart medicine and I will advise you on how much cacao to drink
-You might want to bring a piece of fruit, nuts or energy bar with you to snack on after ceremony.
The ceremonial grade Cacao we will drink comes from the rainforests of Guatemala and is an amazing superfood. Cacao contains the highest concentration of antioxidants and magnesium of any food in the world, rich in chromium, theobromine, manganese, zinc, copper, iron, vitamin C, omega-6 fatty acids, tryptophan, serotonin, and more. It is a highly effective natural energiser and aphrodisiac. Cacao contains PEA, a chemical that we produce in our bodies when we fall in love. PEAs also play a role in increasing focus and alertness. Anandamide is an endorphin that the human body naturally produces after exercise. Anandamide is known as the bliss chemical as it is released while we are feeling joy. It has only been found in one plant - Cacao.
In Mayan culture in Central-America cacao has served an important role for thousands of years and is called food of the gods. Ceremonial cacao drinking has been traced 3800 years back so it is high time that this heart-opening superfood makes its way to the pure energy of Iceland.
Kamilla Ingibergsdóttir will lead the Ceremony. She is a Yoga Instructor and has been practising yoga and meditation for years. Cacao has guided her through huge life transformations and she has been offering ceremonies and meditation sessions with Cacao in Iceland and oga and meditation retreats in Guatemala.
