Aleister Crowley is only just now emerging from the over-simplification of his adopted motto as "The Wickedest Man in the World." Recent years have seen him in a better light to more favorable audiences, with references to his accomplishments as a mountaineer, as a poet, and as a philosopher becoming more prevalent. Perhaps the Age of Horus is upon us, after all! However, that doesn't mean was never up to any wickedness at all!

Early in his career as a magician, learning the principles both as a student generally and through the teachings and experimentation's of his compatriots in the Golden Dawn, Crowley absolutely conjured from the infamous grimoire of evil spirits, Goetia. This lecture will discuss Crowley, Goetia, and his work therein, as well as provide ample opportunity for questions about each.

Colin Campbell is the author of "Thelema: An Introduction to the Life, Work, And Philosophy of Aleister Crowley" and "Of the Arte Goetia", among others, lecturing across the country on the Western magical tradition. He lives in New Hampshire.
