The walk is open to all ages, breeds and abilities, his walk is open to anyone with or without a dog and children (if they can cope with that far - 2hrs).
Social Walk Classes are wonderful for dogs as they, like us, are social creatures and enjoy opportunities to practice their social skills. We also need to be able to control our dogs, protect them from dangers and prevent them from being a nuisance. In a social walk class we all socialise and learn at the same time and there is plenty of time for individual questions.
Payment of £10 confirms booking Regulars can pay on the day.
Please dress suitably & be prepared for any weather, ensure you bring a bowl and water for your dogs and that you have the right equipment - min 6ft static leads, harnesses & treats.
My ONLY rules are:
ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEAD, out of respect to those who have more challenging dogs and do not cope well with close encounters.
If your dog does not cope with close encounters or is fear aggressive, YOU MUST WEAR A HI VIS VEST (supplied by me), if your dog is fine with other dogs GREAT but please be respectful to those whose dogs aren't it is not only TERRIFYING for the dog, it is also terrifying for their owners who are trying their hardest to help their dog and themselves over their own fears.
If you are not a client and have a challenging dog, thats fine come and see me at the beginning in the car park minus dog to let me know who you are and your dogs challenges so that I can help you.
If you dog appears to NOT be coping and stress levels show to me that its is counterproductive, I will makes their welfare and that of the other dogs my priority and ask you to give the group space or leave, PLEASE do not be offended as I promise not to make you feel bad, it is just that your dog isn't ready to be in that environment. However I will love to continue to work with you and highly recommend that you have a 1-2-1 to get the foundation right so you can rejoin the group and your dog will then gain the benefit of the social walks.
