Join the Highland Park Arts Commission for our Book Arts Workshop with Arts Commissioner Amee J. Pollack on April 9, 6:30-8:30pm at the Highland Park Public Library.

Learn the basics of bookmaking by creating one structure called “The Twirling Palm Puppet Book” from start to finish in a two hour workshop with artist, Amee J. Pollack. Learn how to bind a book cover, and think about how image, text, structure work together to convey meaning and or tell a story. The workshop is limited to 20 participants or parent/child pairs. The workshop is for adults and for children 6 years and up. Materials will be provided for one book and one puppet per participant/pair. Sponsored by the Highland Park Arts Commission and the Highland Park Public Library.
