The City of Longview Parks and Recreation Department is proud to host Scotts Major League Baseball® PITCH HIT & RUN™. This FREE event provides youngsters across the country an opportunity to participate in an exciting baseball/softball skills competition.

Boys and Girls 7 - 14 years old are welcome to compete in either the softball or baseball competition.

To pre-register, visit the Parks Office at 130 E. Timpson Street before 5pm on April 27th. Walk up registrations will be accepted beginning at 8:30am on April 28th.
**All registrations must include a copy of the child's birth certificate**

For the competition, each participant will be asked to:
PITCH – Participants are tested throwing 6 balls to a designated
“Strike Zone” target. Any method of throwing is permitted.
HIT – Participants hit 3 balls off a tee for distance and accuracy.
RUN – Participants are timed, starting from second base, touching third then touching home plate.

Scores for each event are then totaled and announced. Winners from our local competition move to the sectional competition. Participants can then advance to get to play during the MLB All Star Week at the national level!
