Hampton House Blues is the Historic Hampton House's new monthly Blues and R&B night happening the 2nd Friday of every month. This month we are featuring Sheba the Mississippi Queen with Roach Thompson!

Born in Sunflower, Mississippi, to a family of sharecroppers, Sheba the Mississippi Queen’s first exposure to music came from her gospel singing parents. Traveling from Mississippi to South Florida and the Big Apple, Sheba went from singing in church and the cotton fields to eventually forming her own music groups and touring throughout the South with her band The Rhythm Kings. Sheba the Mississippi Queen’s journeys are reflected vividly in her music. Sheba's rich story telling lyrics cover black history, culture in the South, and her life onstage and in the studio singing the blues. Join us at the Historic Hampton House for a musical journey as Sheba the Mississippi Queen takes the stage with local legend, Roach Thompson!
