Join Historic Saranac Lake and the Northern Forest Canoe Trail to learn more about the history of the 90-Miler! Adirondack Canoe Classic organizer Brian McDonnell will talk about the origins of the 90-Miler, how it has evolved through the years, and how it ties into the culture of the Adirondack region. The 3-day, 90-mile event starts in Old Forge and finishes in Saranac Lake, following a paddling route was once used by Native Americans, early settlers and guides. The 90-Miler features guideboats, canoes and kayaks. A longtime guide and canoe outfitter, Brian has been organizing the 36-year-old race for 20 years with his wife, Grace.

This event is free and open the public, and will take place in the John Black Room at the Saranac Laboratory Museum. Light refreshments will be served.
