The Drystones bring their “We Happy Few” album tour to West Sussex...

BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award 2018 nominees The Drystones, are an excitingly talented young duo making big waves in the folk world.

Alex Garden and Ford Collier combine masterful musicianship with youthful energy to give exhilarating performances. Spirited, animated and always entertaining, The Drystones have a powerful and engaging style which is all their own - and for just two people they make a very big sound.

Based in Somerset, The Drystones write and arrange tunes and songs for fiddle, guitar and whistle and have made waves on the folk scene since 2011. They were the Larmer Tree Festival Breakthrough Music Act in 2015 and in the same year supported The Shires and Ray Davies at the Glastonbury Extravaganza. They have supported folk legends such as Steeleye Span and Seth Lakeman and have played at countless festivals across the country including Glastonbury, Sidmouth Folk Week, Bromyard Folk Festival, The Village Pump Festival, and Broadstairs Folk Week.

"The Drystones' technical prowess and stylistic awareness speak for themselves" - Tom Newell - Songlines 2017
