Artists are invited to participate in a plein-air paintout at Rabbit Creek, private lands that includes a covered pavilion that overlooks Northwoods Urban Wilderness Park. This beautiful property is off the beaten path in the Ouachita Mountains.
Artist Hugh Dunnahoe will demonstrate plein air oil painting at 9 am and then will be available to instruct artists on how to select their view, plan the composition, and will help them get started on their own paintings. In 2017 Hugh Dunnahoe went on a cross country camping trip painting at each location. He teaches painting and drawing at his Hot Springs studio.
Bottled water will be provided by Mountain Valley Springs Water Company. Artists are to bring a sack lunch. Portable bathroom facilities are on location. Artist participating in this event will display their plein air paintings in the HSACA booth at Art Springs, May 5 & 6.
