Long Island Food Council is holding its Inaugural East End event at Hotel Indigo Long Island - East End in Riverhead on April 20, 2018. from 10 am-1 pm
The event features a farm-to-table lunch as well as samplings from Eat Mud Co , Forgoodnesscake, Vicky's Little Bakery, The Vegg, 63 South Chill Street Ice Cream, The Subtle Tea Company and more, according to Michael Tucker, the food council’s president.
The organization meets regularly to assist food companies –startups and others – address entrepreneurial challenges with industry leaders who share expertise.
Keynote speakers include Suffolk County Executive Steven Bellone and Island Harvest President and CEO Randi Shubin Dresner. Suffolk County Community College Associate Dean Jane Shearer will moderate a panel discussion.
Panelists includes Blue Duck Bakery Cafe Haskell's Bait and Tackle, Moustache and Matchbook Distilling Co.
