The Woodberry Poetry Room's Vocarium series continues with a reading by Kazim Ali (author of INQUISITION/Wesleyan Press, 2018) and Stephanie Burt (author of ADVICE FROM THE LIGHTS/Graywolf Press, 2017), whose recent works are both vital and vulnerable explorations of personal and social upheaval & transformation, of—to quote Ali—transgressing "heteronormative bounds of body and spirit," and staking out new terrain for gender, genre, and the beyond(s).
A book-signing will follow.
Co-sponsored by the Woodberry Poetry Room and Rethinking Translation / Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard.
Date: Wednesday, April 4 at 6.00 pm
Location: Edison and Newman Room, Houghton Library, Harvard Yard.
