Sponsored by Huddle & Bliss HQ
Hosted by Natalie & Nicola, 2 local 'Mother Supporters' who are members of the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers, these drop in sessions provide by peer support and breastfeeding information in a friendly, informal and relaxed environment. They can help and assist with any basic and common problems that new mothers face and where necessary direct them to the appropriate professionals in this field. In addition to supporting new mums the group welcomes all mums whether they are former breastfeeders, combi-feeders or just support breastfeeding. Mums-to-be are also welcome to come along chat, get tips and make friends. Older siblings welcome.
The sessions are held on the second Saturday of each month
10-11.30am at the Huddle & Bliss Studios at The Old Dairy Farm Centre Upper Stowe. Refreshments are included.
Your Bosom Buddies are:
Nicola Plumb who is mummy to Phoebe who was exclusively breastfed for 9 months and then combi-fed until 15 months. Nicola was fortunate throughout her breastfeeding journey to only get a touch of mild mastitis for which she received great support from her health visitor. However she had a few friends who unfortunately have not received such good support of the support they deserve which has prompted her passion to change that for other breastfeeding mums.
Natalie Thomas is mum to Leon and Patrick. Leon was exclusively breastfed until he self-weaned at 18 months. In the early days Natalie and Leon battled with an undiagnosed posterior tongue tie , weight loss and mastitis twice. Patrick was born in December and is also breastfed. Natalie received fantastic breastfeeding support in her pregnancy and postpartum which inspired her passion to provide support to as many other mums as possible.
Nicola and Natalie look forward to meeting you and providing any support you need at their next session.
