This 6 week course starts on Tuesday 12th June 2018 and runs for 6 consecutive weeks. Ideal for 2nd and 3rd trimester.
These calm candlelit sessions in our dedicated studio are perfect for mums-to-be seeking some headspace and serenity. The session includes core breathing, mindfulness and self-care exercises, gentle stretches and deep guided relaxation. All equipment is provided including mats, bean bags, cushions and throws. A selection of quality refreshments are included at the end of the session.
Relaxation is incredibly important in the latter stages of pregnancy.
Medical studies have evidenced that the hormonal signals a pregnant woman transmits to her baby do indeed have an impact on the development of the baby’s brain.
During the final trimester, if we are repeatedly stressed high levels of the stress hormone cortisol can impact upon the baby significantly. Medical research suggests that babies exposed to high levels of stress tend to be more difficult to calm and sooth due to the transmission of these hormones prior to birth. During the last three months it is really important to be as relaxed as is possible as there is a major growth spurt in baby’s brain.
Our pregnancy relaxation sessions are ideal for those in the second and third trimester and are a great way to take some time out and focus and connect on your baby and begin the secure bonding process even before they are here.
