Veteran's Day Parade & Ceremony

The 2nd Annual Veterans Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, November 11. A free breakfast for Veterans will take place from 7a-8a at Huntersville Presbyterian Church (all are welcome and no registration required). The parade will begin at 9:45am (view the parade on 115 from Maxwell Ave. to E. Greenway St.). Ceremony to follow promptly at 11:00am. After the Ceremony stay and enjoy food, live music and free activities from 12:00pm-2:00pm including Bounce Boot Camp, making cards for the veterans, airbrush tattoos, balloon twisting, local organizations/clubs, Primal Brewery and more!

The Town of Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department are looking for photos from the local community for the “Wall of Honor” that will be located at the Veterans Day Celebration. If you have a picture from past/present local veterans please send via email (aahrens@huntersville.org) or to: Huntersville Parks and Recreation, ATTN: Alison Ahrens, PO Box 2879, Huntersville NC 28070.You can also drop them off to Town Center, 105 Gilead Rd. Floor 3, Huntersville. Please include their name, rank, branch of service, & years of service.

All veterans and families are encouraged to join us for the festivities. Local clubs and organizations wanting to participate are encouraged to reach out for more details on how to get involved.
Parade applications are now available at the Huntersville Parks and Recreation office or by emailing Downtown Events and Facility Coordinator, Alison Ahrens (aahrens@huntersville.org), and are due by Friday, October 20, 2017.
