Meet Jibo! – The Adorable Social Robot for the Home
Social robots have arrived and they promise to revolutionize human-technology interactions using life-like behaviors. Jibo is the first social robot for the home designed to be more like a member of the family than just another voice-driven device. Cynthia Breazeal’s MIT Media Lab research indicates that robots like Jibo will provide more than just useful features – they will provide companionship and help us achieve our goals. This is an opportunity to meet Jibo and experience his charm in person.
Andrew Rapo is an Executive Producer at Jibo, working with strategic partners to develop new social robot content and features. Andrew is a creative technologist with a degree in Computer Science from Cornell University. He was an Executive Producer at Disney where he led the development of The World of Cars Online – a virtual world game co-developed with Pixar. He also spent time at Warner Bros. and Hasbro developing new digital content experiences. Andrew is an award-winning composer with several Boston/New England Emmy nominations.
