This is a special two-day training for mental health professionals to learn evidence-based trauma response to better help those in our community who have been impacted by the October wildfires. We will also be sharing a special website created just for wildfire survivors with personal learning tools available in English and Spanish. For only $40 per person mental health professionals can receive 12 hours of training (and 12 CE units!) and hear presentations by nationally acclaimed PTSD experts and clinical psychologists Dr. Patricia Watson and Dr. Joe Ruzek.

Skills for Psychological Recovery (SPR) is an intervention that aims to help survivors gain skills to manage distress and cope with post-disaster stress and adversity. Practitioners who complete the training will be eligible to offer SPR in the community for an honorarium provided by the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Sonoma County and the Wildfire Survivor Mental Health Collaborative.
