Beloved in our Brokenness: A Dialogue with Men Experiencing Homelessness
This is a morning of reflection, dialogue, and personal encounter with 10 men from the Matt Talbot Center who have experienced homelessness. The morning will begin with a light breakfast, followed by a program that includes two speakers from the Ignatian Spirituality Project, which offers Ignatian retreats for those who are homeless and seeking recovery. One who will share his story of emerging from homelessness and addiction, and the other will share how the insights of the Spiritual Exercises can work in the lives of those experiencing homelessness and those who haven't had that experience. This will be followed by individual reflection and small group conversation, ending with an informal pizza lunch. This is an opportunity for all – whether homeless or not - to grow in awareness of one’s brokenness and belovedness in God. Join this group of men to listen for the voice of God in your own and others' experiences of fear, trust and the grace of God.
Cost is $30 (covers breakfast, pizza and costs for Matt Talbot men). Register by April 18th.
