*This is a Genocide Awareness & Prevention Month Program*
Holocaust Survivor Fritz Bauer was the attorney general who brought Eichmann, Auschwitz, the Wehrmacht crimes, the Nazi judiciary, and Nazi physicians to justice. As a result, he faced hostility and death threats throughout his life.
Hear PD Dr. Irmtrud Wojak, German historian and managing director of the non-profit BUXUS FOUNDATON GmbH in Munich, talk about Bauer's role in the Auschwitz trials of 1963.
This program also provides insight into the German culture of remembrance. Lecturer Anette Isaacs will moderate.
