In 2016 we kicked off the #RadicalChildcare learning community to open up themes of the #RadicalChildcare project for discussion, hosting conversations around the research and ideas behind the project as it grows. Our first four were an eclectic mix of multimedia and hosts, check out the previous sessions and content here. We are excited to launch a new series of learning circle sessions this Spring as we continue to develop and grow the #RadicalChildcare movement.
The #RadicalChildcare Learning Circle is a 21st Century multimedia book club.

It's a place where we can digest and interrogate current thinking, academic research, TED talks and podcasts in a supportive informal community of learners, experts and the curious. Join the #RadicalChildcare Facebook group and look out for learning community meetups

This learning circle session will be all about the stories of passionate citizens experimenting together at the participatory social lab CoLab Dudley

This is a chance to build more connections and knowledge around sharing and collaborative cultures that involve everyday low threshold participation around making, learning and doing together as peers.

In collaboration with our friends at Colab Dudley we chew over a chapter in their latest report Detectorism Insights #1, their first collection of stories and practice-based evidence gathered during an ambitiously active initial 6 months of work in Dudley Town Centre. Six years of experimenting with co-designed, open to all, hands-on participation in Dudley has involved a fair bit of unlearning and adoption of new behaviours and mindsets. Detectorism Insights #1 shares the most recent development of this.

We will be sharing knowledge and ideas by listening to snippets of detectorism audio (from @podnosh), watching DoFest Dudley festival film shorts (from @thombartley) and reading mini ethnographic portraits of doing (captured by all of @CoLabDudley).

Together we will unpack the areas of the research findings you are most curious about and think about how they resonate with your own projects and the places you love?
