We all know how important it is for the success of a business or cause to have the support of an engaged community - both online and in the flesh.

For our next 'Geelong Business for Purpose Meetup', let's share ideas and techniques on how to create communities around our projects (whether they're active or still in the works). Building a community even before your project has launched can really help it get off the ground, so it's never too early to start. Plus you'll get a headstart knowing what your community wants and some guides on which directions to take.

Here are a few questions to lead the discussion:
- Why is it so important to build a community?
- What has worked for you? What hasn't? What are some key challenges?
- How can we use content to tell our story?
- How do we leverage social media?
- Why is it important to understand your community?
- How do we do all this with limited resources?

Feel free to add anything else you'd like to cover in the comments.

About the Meetup:
Our aim is to help grow the network of purpose-driven businesses and social enterprises in Geelong. Our community (which we hope you'll be part of) believes in using business as a tool for good and supports the B Corporation movement. This Meetup is space for all (business owners, employees and others) who are interested in sharing their knowledge, testing ideas, growing their business, making an impact, finding support, gathering momentum around the social enterprise and B Corp movement. We've created this group with the intention for its members to drive the shape it takes - so, please let us know how we can help you make a positive impact in the world with your business.
