Join us for a night of poetry and more with Omaha native a.j.k. o'donnell! She'll be reading from her new collection This Void Beckons (Cracked Jar Press) with Q&A to follow afterward.
Through a distinct narrative prose, formed as poetry, This Void Beckons recalls the progression of human ancestry, the legacy it has left and contemplates the notion of what the future holds. Fashioned as an individual pilgrimage tailored for each reader, the Void is a place all will find familiar, yet dually distant.
andrew joseph kimberley o'donnell was born on 24 July 1997, inside an old concrete hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. o'donnell's writing has appeared in the Huffington Post, with her ongoing series entitled A Life in Transitions, the Outrider Review, and The Daily Iowan.
o'donnell resides in the Midwest, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural and Literary Studies. This is her second collection of poetry.
