Experience two hours of interwoven holistic healing practices designd to help us inhabit our bodies, hearts, and minds freshly, so may respond to life with passion and resolve.
This workshop will include a complete experience with yoga, mediation, and acupuncture.
In this 2-hour workshop Sarah Jane will guide you through mindful yoga, which, after settling and warming the body, combines yin yoga with mindfulness meditation (deep passive stretches held for long periods enhanced with an inward gaze). This both helps you let go of holdings and prepares your energetic pathways for the nourishing effects of acupuncture, which comprises the last 40 minutes. Once everyone has settled into a supported savasana (you can opt for a chair) Seetal will come by to insert a few acupuncture needles at points associated with letting go and detoxifying as well as grounding. You may opt out of acupuncture but stay during this restful and meditative time; Sarah Jane will occasionally drop in gentle reminders to orient your mind toward inner freedom and peace. Needles will be removed with 10 minutes left to leave time for a short lovingkindness meditation, orienting us to each other and our community before parting in peace.
Props will be available at the studio. Please bring water, a journal, and pen.
