Thursday, April 5th: Nutrition
Have you ever thought “What should I be eating?” or “Will eating this food keep my cancer from coming back?”
At this session, Eric Cohen, RN, MS, OCN, will discuss the myths and facts of healthy eating, food as medicine, and trending diets. Participants will leave with easy to implement strategies to improve their overall health and well-being.
Thursday, April 12th: Exercise
Michelle Stravitz and Ilana Gamerman of 2Unstoppable, along with Susan Gilmore, Fitness Liaison for Inova Life with Cancer, will present the research and valuable information on exercising after a cancer diagnosis, share practical guidance, tips, and resources for you to get moving and stay strong. Class will include an opportunity to participate in some gentle exercises, so please wear comfortable clothing and bring an open mind! Chair-based options will be available.

Join Life with Cancer Oncology Therapists, Julie Guido, Elise Schneider, and Courtney Weaver, as they discuss the impact stress has on the body, and the importance of reducing stress for the purpose of promoting health and well-being. Learn strategies that you can implement on your own to help reduce your overall stress and live a happier, healthier and more productive life!
