Join us to discuss Dr. Sergi's new book, "From Mafia to
Organised Crime: A Comparative Analysis of Policing
Models", about the different policing models that exist
in #Italy, the #UK, #USA and #Australia to better
understand each country's countering strategy and
perception about the #Italianmafia as well as other
local organized criminal groups. By looking at topics
as varied as mafia mobility, #moneylaundering, #drugnetworks and gang #violence, this book ultimately
seeks to reconsider the conceptualizations of both
mafia and organized crime from a socio-behavioural
and cultural perspective.

About the author:
Dr. Anna Sergi is a Lecturer in #Criminology at the University of Essex (#UnitedKingdom). With expertise in #organizedcrime
and comparative #criminaljustice issues, Dr. Sergi has
researched and studied the Italian mafia in #Italy and #abroad
as well as #policing strategies against organized crimes.
