Our clothes have an untold story.
Whether you are a fashionista or not, unless you are a nudist, we are all in this together. As a part of the Fashion Revolution Week 23-29th April 2018 - the global effort to raise awareness on how our clothes are made - UNYA Aalborg will be hosting an interactive and thought-provoking evening about the dark side of the fashion industry.
We will be taking a good look at production and practice in the industry that is responsible for our dresses, jeans, underwear and beyond. We will talk about the clothes we are currently wearing and if we know who made them. And we will explore the impact of fashion on our planet.
After a short presentation, we will have a screening of The True Cost documentary - a ground-breaking film that invites us on an eye-opening journey around the world exploring the impact of fashion on everything around us. It asks us to consider, who really pays the price of our clothing?
Last but not least, we will show you ways how to get fashionable clothes more ethically and sustainably on a college budget. Come learn, join the discussion and make a change.
Be curious. Find out. Do something.
The event is FREE and open to all, so feel free to bring along your friends (and yes, there will be FOOD and DRINKS)!
