Workshop in performative research with Leman Sevda Darıcıoğlu.

As part of the residency Leman Sevda Darıcıoğlu will host a workshop with the title “Performative Research: Being one and one of the collective” where participants are introduced to her methods as well as excerpts from her work.

Leman Sevda Darıcıoğlu (1985), born in Izmir, currently lives & works in Istanbul, Turkey. Leman has a Master in Sociology at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. Leman produces mostly in the field of performance art but also many other disciplines like installation, video, photography etc. She views the body as a “resource to be unraveled” and she approaches her art practice as a “map of possible utopias” where she creates the world she wishes to live in. She was a member of Istanbul Queer Art Collective between 2014-2017. She pursued a queer collaborative performance project called fuckmekitty between 2016-2017. Leman participated in 15th Istanbul Biennial in 2017.
