Todd Stewart is launching a solo career with his album Everything You Want. Fraught with personal confessions and devout sentiments he sings right through your heart on every track, taking your hand and pulling you into each moment, it’s music that makes you feel the story before you even know the words of the song
The six songs on 'Everything You Want' pulls from his own true heart narratives with tales of life long love, hard won wisdoms and stalled hearts. His raw edges and ability to bring his vocals moody and close has brought on comparisons to the gritty truth of Greg Keelor, the endless heartbreak of Ryan Adams and the lyrical sincerity of Jason Isbell. With a break in between the Northern Beauties albums and a side solo project long on his mind, he's taking a step out from the harmonies to strip it down and dig deeper as a writer and a vocalist.
The music is confident in it's imperfection with nothing held as precious in the room as the moment itself.

Lighter Than Arrows
Lighter than Arrows is a local Calgary folk trio. They released their debut EP, Quiet Revolution, in February, 2017. Though the band is a small outfit, they boast a full and textured sound that features three-part harmonies, beautiful melodies and moving themes. It's probably the band's notable male/female harmonies that has led them to be compared to the critically acclaimed American folk duo, The Civil Wars. The group has been together since late 2015 and has been featured in the YYScene, on CJSW 90.9, and on Shaw TV's «SoundScape». From slow, woven melodies in «Move Me» to quick, foot-stomping hooks in «Lay My Burdens» the group has had an exciting entrance to the Calgary Music Scene.
