We present to you 3 food workshops:
1) The fascinating art of sourdough bread baking
Come to ISOW and learn how easy and tasty baking your own bread can be! I will tell you the fascinating science taking place when we mix flour, water, salt and microbes and you will make your own sourdough starter and a traditional Danish sourdough bread. Since the dough has to rise 10-12 hours before baking I will prepare the same breads beforehand so we can all have a taste in the end. After the workshop you can take home a jar of sourdough, a bowl of dough which will be ready to bake the following morning for your Sunday brunch and some recipes to continue your baking experiments!
Please bring your own jar/plastic container for the sourdough starter and a bowl/big plastic container for the dough if you want to take home the goodies :)
2) Who doesn’t love sushi?
Have you ever thought about how to make sushi yourself? It's not as hard as you think, and a healthy, delicious, and refreshing way to enter the spring season! We will make 3 hosomaki and 1 uramaki and 1 temaki roll.
3) It’s all in the fold: Dumplings! Always wanted to know how to make this delicious food? If sushi isn’t enough for you, come join us and learn how to make gyoza dumplings!
SUSHI & DUMPLINGS will be prepared and eaten during the workshop, but the sourdough you have to bake yourself at home! (Unfortunately we don’t have enough oven space).
To wrap it all up and still stay in the theme of spring: bring the clothing you don’t need and participate in our clothes swap after the food workshops!
