“We Can Do That” (original title: “Si può fare”) is an Italian film by director Giulio Manfredonia set in Italy in the early 1980s.
Nello (Claudio Bisio) is a businessman from Milan who gets unexpectedly booted out of his job and ends up managing a collective of ex-mental patients, who have been expelled from psychiatric hospitals after the Basaglia Law. With the intention of improving their situation, Nello decides to help them reintegrating into society by expanding their individual abilities. However, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”, and difficulties soon arise…
